A Healthy and Happy You | self-love through self-care

Welcome to A Healthy and Happy You Wellness Studio! I'm Chrissy Kohut, your self-care specialist, yoga teacher for adults and kids, reiki practitioner,  energy healer, and best selling author.  I also am the owner and founder of A Healthy and Happy You Wellness Studio. Our wellness studio is designed to be a sanctuary for self-care, offering a nurturing space for everyone, including our little ones to find what they need to self-care. Join me on the mat for meditation classes or in the treatment room for a Reiki session or my Signature Energy Healing session. Or maybe you bring your little one to "Learning to Exhale", my kids yoga program where I not only teach yoga to the little ones but also social emotional learning. As a former elementary school teacher I have seen the benefits yoga, mindfulness, and breathwork can have on our children.  My goal is to support you and your family on your journey to self-love and well-being.

Jessica Garon is a certified sound healer and classically-trained vocalist who is very excited to bring her sonic offerings to A Happy and Healthy You!

As a member of the Ewing community, her approach is gentle, steady, and supportive, creating a space where anyone—whether new to sound healing or familiar with it—can settle in and feel at ease and experience its positive effects.

Her sessions offer a calm environment to rest and reconnect. Using singing bowls, tuning forks, soft percussion, and intuitive vocal tones, Jessica helps the body release tension and stress and find a natural sense of balance. Each experience is designed to meet people where they are, inviting them to slow down, connect with their heart, and receive the nourishment they need.

Jess’s offerings include a 1:1 private sound healing session called The Angelic Cocoon—a 60-minute journey of nourishing frequencies including crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, gentle percussion and the voice.

Additionally, Jess will also be holding monthly community soundbaths at the studio, which can be booked directly via A Happy and Healthy You.

Jeni Hanzlik is a passionate yoga instructor with a 200-hour Classical Vinyasa certification and a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. She has been teaching yoga since 2012 and Health & Physical Education since 2009, bringing a strong understanding of movement, anatomy, and mindful fitness into every class.

Jeni’s teaching style blends a gentle, accessible vinyasa flow with subtle Pilates-inspired strength work—creating classes that feel energizing yet welcoming, never intimidating. Her personal journey into yoga began as a form of therapy during a time of deep grief, and that healing experience shapes the heart of her offerings today.

Her Gentle Flow and Flow classes are designed to help students reconnect to the present moment, release stress, and step away from the noise of everyday life. Guided by breath, music, meaningful lyrics, and inspiring quotes, Jeni creates a positive, supportive environment where students can move, heal, and simply feel good in their bodies.

After Lindsey’s first yoga class she was hooked and knew it was something she needed to dive deeper into. She signed up for her 200 hour teacher training at Four Winds yoga in 2009 and started teaching. Her training was rooted in Hatha and Ana Forrest yoga, where healing is meant to extend to the emotional body, directing the breath into affected parts of the body to release emotions. This style deeply resonated with her, which led her to yin yoga, a practice she fell completely in love with. She received her Yin yoga certification with Ellen Mosko in 2018.

Lindsey offers a dynamic experience that supports a grounding and calming atmosphere with an uplifting and playful spirited vibe. Her classes combine breathwork and movement to help shift your mindset and boost your mood.

“Evolve yourself, find out your gifts and then give those to others.” - Ana Forrest

Shannon is a free-spirited, heart-centered guide who believes yoga is more than movement—it’s a soulful conversation with yourself. Her journey began in 2013, when a few days on the mat sparked a profound shift in her mind and body. That spark grew into a calling: to share the peace, clarity, and empowerment yoga offers with her community.

Shannon completed her 200-Hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training at Stillpoint Yoga Studios and earned her Meditation Teacher Training at Purenergy Studios, blending mindful movement with the art of stillness. Her classes feel like a safe exhale—grounded, compassionate, and deeply intentional. Students leave feeling connected to their authentic self, heart, and intuition.

Beyond the mat, Shannon brings a unique lens to wellness through her academic journey. She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Global Health from Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, weaving evidence-based care with holistic practices. Her mission? To create spaces where people feel seen, supported, and inspired to thrive.

Shannon believes laughter is medicine and sprinkles humor into her classes— because joy belongs on the mat as much as breath and movement.

A practicing yogi for 15 years, Melissa's niche in the yoga sphere is in floor-based practices. As someone with chronic Lyme Disease, she strives to make yoga accessible to those who find balancing on the mat is keeping them off of their mat. Movement is still possible ... but in her class, we go low.

Brittany found the practice of yoga during college, and completed her 200 Hour Teacher Training in the winter of 2017. She found a deep appreciation for ashtanga for many years, but has graduated to a slower and more relaxed style. Her teaching style focuses on safe and effective cues, adjusting and modifying poses for all bodies, and linking the breath to movement. Yoga has always been a grounding and invigorating force for her. She works professionally as an elementary school teacher and has the best daughter in the world. She is an avid painter who hopes to spread her joy of creative pursuits with all!
